In today’s blog post we will start to look into the symptom “We are not proactive enough to neither opportunities nor faults”.
Proactiveness are very important to be able to see the opportunities, but also to understand that a problem is coming. We need to have the understanding of the world around us. When working in parallel especially with I-shaped teams, the proactiveness is even more important. The reason is the many times smaller time boxes, which means deliveries and interdependencies to the team in the next “phase”.
Asking why on “We are not proactive enough to neither opportunities nor faults” gives us our two well-known root causes about bad planning and integration events are not timely, which give us important information about the planning forward, so we can be proactive.
But, it also gives us the symptom “People are not seeing the Bigger Picture”. This happens of course easy when a organisation gets bigger, especially with an higher hierarchy that is the common solution. But, it also happens due to the change to today’s market, which has forced the organisations to work in parallel, which is very difficult if we not nourish T-shape and short chains of interactions, as stated in earlier blog posts. Asking why therefore give us the corresponding three root causes.
A part of the Prefilled Problem Picture Analysis Map with the chain of symptoms for “We are not proactive enough to neither opportunities nor faults“ will then look like this:
And as you can see, this is really a symptom that go all over our different root causes, and these root causes are the most prominent ones.
That was all for this blog post, and in the next blog post, we will conclude with the last chain of symptoms before we wrap-up this series and present our whole Prefilled Problem Picture Analysis Map.
C u soon.
